Disclaimer
Unsung OperAItions publishes Hudson Weekly, a free email newsletter about the Town of Hudson, Massachusetts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else touches it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
When you sign up for Hudson Weekly, we ask for: Your email address. This is where the newsletter goes.
Your home address. Hudson Weekly is written for one town, and your address is how we keep the list to people who live here. It also lets us say honestly how many Hudson households read it, which determines the overall impact of the newsletter.
An optional donation. If you choose to give, payment is handled by our website provider and its payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
When you unsubscribe, we collect the email address you enter, so we can find you on the list and remove you.
Our website also uses cookies and similar technology provided by our website platform to keep the site working and to count visits.
What we do with it
We use your email address to send you Hudson Weekly and nothing else. We do not send other campaigns to this list.
We use your home address to confirm you are in Hudson and to count Hudson households in total. We do not publish it, and we do not mail anything to it.
We keep a record of unsubscribe requests. We have to, because that record is what stops you being added back by mistake.
Who else has it
We are a small business and we use ordinary services to operate. Your information passes through them:
Google. Our email and the Hudson Weekly mailing list run on Google Workspace and Google Groups. Your email address is stored there as a list member.
Wix. Our website, signup form, and contact records are hosted by Wix. Donations are processed by Wix and its payment provider.
Make. We use Make to move subscriber information between Wix and Google.
These companies handle your information so we can run the newsletter. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to other businesses for their own use. If we are ever required to disclose something by law, we will.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the mailing list and keep a record that you opted out, so you are not added again by accident. You can ask us to delete that record too.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every issue.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email anna@unsungoperaitions.com and we will handle it.
Children
Hudson Weekly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
